What you send us
When you send a form on this site (a valuation request, a builder request, a question about a listing or about moving here), the site sends what you typed to Bowman Real Estate by email through Web3Forms, the form service the site uses. That is your name and email address, which every form requires, your phone number if you give one, whatever you chose from the form's drop-down (the county your property is in, or which side of a deal you are on), and your message, plus the address of the page the form was on and the time you sent it.
We use it for one thing: to answer you. Lowell Bowman reads it, and the office may see it so nothing gets missed. We do not sell it, rent it or add you to a mailing list because you asked a question. If you tell us you no longer want to hear from us, we stop.
By sending a form you agree that Lowell Bowman of Bowman Real Estate may call, text or email you about your inquiry. Every form says so in the line under its send button.
The land value tool on the homepage runs entirely in your browser. Moving its sliders and switches sends us nothing. If you click from the tool through to the form, it fills the message box with the settings you chose, and that text reaches us only when you send the form.
How we count visits
The site runs Google Analytics 4 so we can see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. Google sets cookies and identifiers in your browser to do that, records the pages you view, your approximate location from your network address, your device and browser type, and two things you do: tapping a phone number link and sending a form. Google publishes how it handles that data at policies.google.com. Two Analytics properties receive the same measurements: the property Bowman Real Estate controls and one belonging to Webb Flow Marketing, the agency that builds and maintains the site, so it can report on the work.
You can block these cookies in your browser or with Google's own opt-out tools and the site still works. The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing on your device; the cookies here are Google's. As of the date above the site carries no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags and no session recording.
Who else sees a request
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site and, like any host, logs requests (network address, page requested, time) to keep the site running and to stop abuse.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces; your browser requests the font files from Google.
- Leaflet and Esri supply the map on the town pages and the six-county map; your browser requests map tiles from Esri's ArcGIS Online servers and the Leaflet library from unpkg. The maps show towns and counties, never your position.
- Outbound links. Listing pages link to the record on the SW VA Association of REALTORS MLS website, and the homepage card for a closed sale links to realty.com. Those sites are not ours and have their own privacy policies.
None of these services receives your form contents. The site does not use social-media buttons, chat widgets or embedded video.
Seeing, correcting or deleting what we hold
Ask and we will tell you what we have from you, correct it or delete it. Email lowell@bowmanrealestate.us or call (276) 733-8203. A form you sent lives in email; deleting it means deleting the email, and we will.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to the same address and phone number.
